A few years ago my friends and I broke the latch free while trying to break back into my running car. Locked the keys in it while starting it up
at 1:30 AM out in the mountains at a wedding. I was DD and totally sober. We eventually got into the front
door which was a big group effort. But the rear door latch has been noodling around ever since.
Managed to fix it today by swapping the broken (unfixable ) plastic bushing onto the other side of the mechanism, and the good one into its place. Just gotta wiggle the door card back on and attach the bits.
